The Sommer Regn top is a spring/summer-style sweater tee, with 3/4 length sleeves, drop shoulder seams, a high/low dolphin hem and an easy boat-style neckline. Its eyelet and lace motifs feature a row of umbrellas in a cascading shower of rain drops on the front side, and a panel of eyelet rain drops on the back side, light-heartedly poking fun of the summer weather often experienced in the northern regions!

The uniquely constructed dolphin hem makes this top a stand out design. The hems are knit first, knitting back and forth using yarn-over short rows, then joined together to knit the rest of the top in the round. The sleeves are then picked up and knit from the shoulders down, and the neck band is added last, picking up sts at the bound off neckline.

The yarn featured in the accompanying photos is Roslyn, by Cascade Yarn Co., a summery blend of silk and wool, giving the fabric its light and breezy qualities, perfect for a spring/summer top! The size being modeled is Medium.

Up-to-date, easy-to-follow charts and given stitch counts will keep you on track and moving right along on this thoughtfully designed, fun-to-knit spring/summer top pattern!
