To celebrate the Spookiest Season, I give you: The Spooky Stare

My original intention for this hat was that it could be something for parents to wear while trick or treating with the kids, but for spooky enthusiasts, it can be a year round thing. Bonus points for those that knit it using Glow in the Dark yarn fir their contrast colour!

Yarn:

• This pattern calls for a DK weight yarn. If you choose to knit the Child Size you will need 100 yards for the Main Colour and 50 yards for the Contrast Colour. For the Adult Size, you will need 120 yards for the Main Colour and 60 yards for the Contrast Colour.
• Like all ‘Stare’ hats, I used Sueno DK by Hikoo Yarns in Charcoal for the Main Colour and Chartreuse for the Contrast Colour.

Needles:

• 3.25mm and 4.00mm needles on a 16” cord and 4.00mm DPN’s, or needles on a 40” cord for Magic Loop.

Gauge:

• 22 sts / 4” in Stockinette Stitch.

Available Sizes:

• Child Size: Will fit a Head Circumference up to 21”

• Adult Size: Will it a Head Circumference up to 24”

Additional Materials Needed:

• 3 stitch markers, one unique for BOR

• Scissors

• Darning Needle
