The Staple Jumper jumper was designed to be a chunky oversized piece of knitwear that would become a stable in your wardrobe. This is my (long awaited) second jumper release and another simple but stylish jumper to add to the collection.

This listing is a knitted pattern and not a finished product. You will receive a digital PDF document upon your purchase.

The pattern is written with Australian terms but there are conversions in the pattern as well.

Model is 181cm (5’11) and wears size M.
The length is adjustable and instructions can be found within the pattern. The design is intended to be oversized with 16cm (6”) of positive ease. If you want a tighter fitting garment then look at the “finished size” as an indicator of which size to select.

I have used Fiddlesticks Superb Big for this specific jumper which is a super chunky yarn and a very quick knit but you can use an alternative yarn if you can’t source this yarn specifically.

Please remember that if you can’t source the yarn that is recommended then try to find a yarn with a similar tension gauge. The tension gauge is the most important part when ensuring your completed jumper is the same as what you see in the pictures.

The design is knit using stocking stitch and knit in panels from the bottom up. The panels are then sewn together to complete the garment. I tried to simplify the pattern as much as possible in order to make it an easy and enjoyable project that will hopefully help you to knit some more complex designs in the future.
