Well, now I’m just having fun with this!

I’ve been thinking a lot about more animals that have distinctive stares and one animal that came up often was an owl. Owls can have unmistakable stares, with sharp, bright eyes and a pronounced angled brow. This one should capture the attention of people and owls, alike.

I hope you like the pattern.

Yarn Used:

  • This pattern calls for a DK weight yarn in 2 heavily contrasting colours. For my hat I used Sueno, by Hikoo in colours Evergreen (100 yards) and Canteloupe (80 yards)

Needles:

  • 3.50mm and 4.00mm needles on a 16” cord and 4.00mm DPN’s or needles on a 40” cord for Magic Loop.
  • Also recommended are 4.50mm needlesfor the colourwork section, if you are concerned about maintaining your tension.

Gauge:

  • 22 sts / 4” in Stockinette Stitch

Sizes Available:

  • Adult: will fit up to a 24” circumference

  • 3 - Stitch Markers, one unique for BOR
