Shawls are my favorite thing to make. I had never thought I was going to design a shawl – they seemed too big, too intricate – when all of a sudden the name came to me, and then the idea, and then inspiration took over and I made two of these within a week. It’s crazy how once an idea takes hold of you, it won’t stop until you do the thing!

Inspired by prairie summers, this shawl combines what I love most about the season – fireside chats, rolling thunderstorms, and snuggling up in your comfies after a day in the sun and the water – into one garment. The colors I’ve used are a gradient from a sunny day into a dark storm, but by no means are they gospel. What does your favorite season look like to you?
