MATERIALS & INFO

Suggested Yarn: Merino Bulky by Fiber for the People®; 109 yards/100 grams (shown here in the Leather colorway)
Yarn Needs:
• Cap Version: 1 (2, 2) skein(s) {approximately 100(120, 180) grams
• Extended Crown Version: 2(2, 2) skeins {approximately 120(140, 160) grams
Gauge: 12 sts = 4 inches in stockinette stitch, unblocked
Needles/Notions: US 4 and 10, 16-inch circular needle and a set of size 10 DPNs for decreasing the crown (or 40” circulars for Magic Loop), stitch marker, and darning needle for weaving in ends. Pom pom maker if desired.

Sizing: S (M, L) to fit size 20 (21, 22) inch head circumference

PATTERN NOTES

Be sure to cast-on loosely for a comfortable brim. If you tend to cast-on tightly, cast-on over the size10 needles and then switch to the size 4 before knitting the brim.

Instructions are included for an extended crown which will provide the cap with more of a slouch. These instructions are labeled and highlighted.
