The Studio Dress is knitted top down. First the ribbed mock neck is knitted. Markers are then put in to divide the knitting into front, back and sleeves with ribbing in between. Once the raglan is knitted the body and sleeves are divided and knitted separately. Since the dress is very long it is easier to knit the sleeves before the body, once the raglan is finished. Doing this makes it easier to knit the sleeves since you don’t have to move the whole dress around while knitting them.

The pattern has 5 sizes ranging from 38” to 51” in bust circumference.

The gauge on needle size US 8/5 mm is 17 sts and 5 rows= 4” or 10 cm

The dress is knitted in Mitu an alpaca and wool mix, which is soft and structured.

With listed gauge the project needs 16-21 skeins.
