Carry all of your essential items in one place with this gorgeous color block crochet tote. This pattern works up quickly and is sure to be a requested item from friends (it has been with me!).

This pattern is written in US terms.

You will need to know how to slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet. There is a special stitch, a 2 double crochet cluster, which will be explained in the pattern (similar to a double crochet decrease). Pattern comes with a link to a video tutorial.

The main portion of this bag is a simple two row repeat. I created this crochet tote bag in approximately 3 hours.

My finished bag is approximately 13.5 inches tall x 12 inches wide without the handle.

Gauge is not important for this pattern, although I will add mine for reference: 8 hdc x 6 rows = 2 inches x 2 inches.

This pattern is worked in the round, but not with a magic circle. We will chain to the length required for the width of the bag, work in the round and seam the bottom later.

You can line this bag if you prefer, I decided not to.

Thank you!
