The idea for this beach tote started with the yarn and its colors, it reminded me of beautiful seaside sunrises. This bag is all you need to fit your summer beach essentials and more: take it yarn shopping or use it as a travel bag. It features a solid, flat bottom and it is made all in one piece: no sewing required! It is also made using 2 strands of variegated yarn, resulting in a fun color play. Make it your own by working in your choice of solid or color changing yarn and customizing the depth of the bag and the length of the handles.

Materials:
• Yarn: Caron Cotton Ripple Cakes, with two strands held together, in color Wildflowers, 100% Cotton, Yarn Weight – 3/Light, (1,030m /1,126 yds). You can choose any yarn in any color you would like for the test, but ideally it should come out to the same weight, between medium and bulky (4-5) after combining strands.
• Hook: 6 mm/US J or the hook suitable to your yarn choice.
• Notions: tapestry needle, stitch markers, scissors, plastic canvas (for the hard bottom).
• Optional Notions: measuring tape, magnetic snap buttons, sew needle and sew thread, row counter.

Pattern Notes:
There are two versions available: Option A - soft bottom and Option B - hard bottom, reinforced with a plastic canvas.
The depth of the bag and the length of the handles can be adjusted. Sewing on magnetic snap buttons is optional. You may also use a closure of your choice, or no closure at all.
