The Super Chunky Cosy Sock pattern knits up a pair of lovely thick, warm socks. Knitted in stockinette stitch in the round from the toe up, ending with a folded–down rib cuff. They can be made oversized to create a slipper sock and worn over a thinner pair of socks (my favourite way to wear them!) for extra cosy feet.

Size & measurements
S (M) L (XL)
This gives a sock circumference of 18 (20) 22 (24.5) cm or
7 (7.75) 8.75 (9.5) inches.
This is designed as a slipper sock and so for this, choose a size closest to your actual foot circumference size, or with approximately 1.5 cm/0.5 inches negative ease for a tighter, cosier fit.

Suggested needles
5 DPNs in size 10 mm US 15

Suggested yarn
Super Chunky–weight yarn that matches the gauge

Yardage
The suggested yarns use one ball of wool to knit up to a size S and M with foot length of approximately 24 cm / 9.5 inches (including the heel and the toe).
For the other sizes, only a few extra metres are needed - ideas on how to use scrap yarn for this are included within the pattern
