6 months: 17 inches/ 18 inches
12 months: 18 inches/ 20 inches
18 months: 19 inches/ 21 inches
2 years: 21 inches/ 23 inches
4 years: 23 inches/ 25 inches
6 years: 25 inches/ 27 inches
8 years: 26 1/2  inches/ 28
10 years: 28 inches/ 31 inches

This pattern calls for worsted weight yarn. Along with a main color, you’ll need about 25 of each of the following colors: Black, orange, and white.
For your main color, you’ll need approximately the following yardages for each size:
6 months: 120 yards main color
12 months: 240 yards main color
18 months: 300 yards main color
2 years: 400 yards main color
4 years: 450 yards main color
6 years: 600 yards main color
8 years: 700 yards main color
10 years: 800 yards main color
