I love this purse - it’s simple, elegant and practical!

Worked with two strands worsted cotton held together. This makes a dense, sturdy fabric - great for making a purse/bag like this that can hold its weight:)

Sample was made of Lily Sugar ‘n Cream, which is sold in big 14-oz/710 yd skeins… perfect for this project (640 yds required, including straps)

No lining needed - nor would you want to; the ‘wrong’ side of this stitch (inside of bag) is fantastic!

Except for straps, purse is worked in one easy continuous piece. Straps are quick and easy to make and simply tied onto bag.
