The Thistle Cowl is a two-colour brioche pattern which makes for a warm neck accessory that knits up fairly quickly using DK weight yarn and 4.5mm circular needles.

For best effect choose a semi-solid colour for Colour One, which will be the dominant yarn on the right side of the finished project. Colour Two leaves a lot more choice. I chose a variegated colourway that was in high contrast to Colour One, but you could use another semi-solid, or a self-striping colourway instead.

Materials needed
4.5mm circular needle approx 80cm long.
One skein of Colour One and one skein of Colour Two
A row counter and either a cable needle or locking stitch marker

Hand dyed kits available (with pattern) at Noodlesoupshop.co.uk until end of April 2019

Sample made in Extra-Fine Merino DK by Noodle Soup Yarns in colourways Chainmail (A) and Heartbreaker (B), 200m/100g
