A whimsical, free-spirited witch hat featuring a dramatically curled, stuffed top, wire-shaped brim, adjustable tie, and 3-D mushroom pocket. The second strand of yarn is made from coordinating scraps, making every hat unique.

Size & Fit

The hat has an adjustable tie for a comfortable fit. Try the hat on during construction and adjust the length as needed. The brim can be shaped using the 18-gauge craft wire.

Gauge

Gauge is not critical. Fit is determined by trying the hat on as you work.

• Worsted-weight yarn
• 4.5 mm, 5 mm, and 4 mm crochet hooks
• Poly-fil stuffing
• 18-gauge craft wire

• Yarn needle and scissors

Yarn

• Approximately 1 full skein of main-color worsted-weight yarn
• Coordinating worsted-weight yarn scraps for the second strand
• Small amounts of additional yarn for the mushrooms and optional grass

The hat is worked with two strands held together throughout.
