I’ll admit it; I’m a Science Fiction fan so I was inspired by many different heroes for this design. The hat was inspired by Indiana Jones and space cowboys of my childhood. For the colors and design of the scarf, I recommend the free Dr. Who inspired pattern on wittylittleknitter.com. Scarf is knit in Lambs Pride Wildfoote Sock yarn, colors are noted in the pattern. Bottle sleeve is knit from worsted weight yarn, shown in Cascade 220. Designed for 10 ¼ inch circumference bottle (standard wine bottle), but easily adjustable for taller bottles. I left bottom open so bottle sits flat and I left top of neck open for easy pouring. Also fits S.Pellegrino 750ml water bottles if knit ½ inch taller. Body and hat are knit on DP needles and worked in the round and the arms are I-cord. Scarf is worked flat in garter stitch. I enjoy making decorated wine, champagne and theme liquor bottle sweaters. This makes beautiful gift wrap or a great decoration on the liquor shelf. Just to be clear, I am selling the bottle and hat patterns. The scarf pattern is available free on the website noted above, my notes include yarns used for the sample and my modifications for the smaller sized scarf.
