This elegant cozy adds a personal touch to your water bottle, and since it prevents bottles from sweating on you, your clothes, your desk, and in your bag, it earns its name: The Unsweater!

Pattern Notes:

  1. I chose cotton because it is absorbent, washable, and it gives, but you can try other fibers.
  2. Instructions for the Magic Loop technique are available online and in various books, but this step can be substituted with: ch 4, join to form a ring, 8 sc in the center of ring.
  3. This project is worked in the round, so the piece is never turned.
  4. While the pattern is designed to fit a specific type of bottle, it can be adjusted to fit virtually any bottle by increasing or decreasing the size of the bottom disc and working rounds until the top of the bottle is reached.
  5. Variations can be achieved by replacing the V-stitch with another openwork stitch, using different yarn, or otherwise using your imagination.
