The first photograph is knitted on US 8 needles (US 6 for the ribbing) in Loops and Threads Impeccable in Citron and Deep Forest.

The version in the second photograph was knitted on US 6 needles, and is slightly small for my head, so the written pattern calls for US 8. Hat in second photo is knitted in Vanna’s Choice yarn in Barley and Oatmeal, but any Worsted Weight will do.
