Using two new techniques to make a classic knit, this sweater has both adventure and comfort built into the process and the result. The two-color yoke is knit with Color Loops, which are simply vertical strands in the form of a loop. The loop is easy to knit with and ends itself when it runs out so that there are no ends to weave in. The vertical knitting also uses 2-color twisted stitches which provide both color and texture on a solid background. The rest of the sweater is designed for a classic fit, but easily modified to suit the knitter’s individual taste.

Any fingering or light sport weight yarn will work for this design, however, the two yarns listed are luxuriously soft and a pleasure to knit with. All sizes need only one skein of the yoke color.
