The Weekender
I designed this sweater for a co-worker. She had a favorite sweater that she wore all the time.
The boxy, loose-fitting design of this sweater makes it perfect for layering over button-up shirts, turtlenecks or your favorite tank. It is destined to become your go-to weekend sweater! The sweater is made in a simple stockinette stitch, which is a great beginner project.
The unique construction of this sweater will keep your interest. It begins from the cuff of the right sleeve, knitting across the chest and ending on the left sleeve. The bottom half is then added by picking up stitches along the top half, then knitting to hem. This construction creates a seamless, flattering fit. The sweater is made from a soft, comfortable yarn that will keep you warm on chilly days.
The Weekender was originally released in Comfy Worsted but has been re-released in Brava Tweed! The new version of the pattern includes expanded and plus sizes.
