The Western Wind Pocket Scarf can be crocheted using any yarn with awareness to size and
gauge; however, in this pattern I use Lion Brand Pound of Love in medium size 4. The yarn is
100% Acrylic 16oz skein. This is a one skein project when using the Pound of Love, with
enough yarn to create the scarf, pockets, and fringe.
In this pattern The Western Wind Pocket Scarf I use 1 skein of Lion Brand Pound of Love.
Yarn—Lion Brand Pound of love 1020yards/ 16oz / 932 m/ 454 g.
Color Terracotta was used for scarf in pictures.
Hook—6.0
Scissors & tapestry needle.

This Western Wind Pocket Scarf was inspired by the pattern I wrote for a boho vest and is
adapted from the pattern The Western Wind Boho Duster/Vest. The name was under debate for
these patterns, but after photographing the pattern on a windy day of Kansas I decided it was a
fitting name. The fringe gives the scarf a boho vibe, however with certain color choices this scarf
can become a staple to your everyday wardrobe. The pattern is a beginner level. The simplicity
does not take away from the statement it gives from its detail and flow. Create two pockets and
fringe to create the final look.
