The Winding Ridge Beanie is an intermediate level knitting pattern that showcases variegated or solid colored yarn and can be made with Worsted, Light Super Bulky/Chunky, Super Bulky Weight yarns.

This pattern is written for an Adult size and will fit an average head circumference of 21-23.“ This beanie is knit in the round from the bottom up. This beanie has instructions for how to knit a folded brim for the lighter weights, and offers the choice of a slouchy or beanie style fit for the Super Bulky Weight.

This pattern can easily be modified to be taller or wider.

There are multiple video tutorials included in the pattern to help along the way.

Materials:
-One H/5mm crochet hook for closure of the lateral braid.
-Tapestry needle
-Stitch Marker
-Scissors
-Optional Pom Pom

Worsted Weight:
-US 6 (4.0mm) 16” circular knitting needles
-US 7 (4.5mm) 16” circular knitting needles and DPNs
-Approximately 180 yds. Lion brand heartland (1 total skein)

Bulky/ Light Super Bulky/Chunky:
-US 10.5 (6.5mm) 16” circular knitting needles and DPNs
-Approximately 90-110yds. Malabrigo noventa/baah sequoia (1-2 skeins)
-Approximately 104 yds. Malabrigo chunky (1-2 skeins)
-Approximately 130 yds. DHG Piuma (1 total skein)

-Note: Each weight is designed to use under one skein of each type of yarn listed for the single brim option. You will need two skeins for the double brim option using malabrigo noventa and baah sequoia.

Super Bulky:
- US size 13(9mm)16” circular knitting needles and DPNs
-70-95yds. of Malabrigo Rasta Super Bulky yarn or equivalent
For a beanie using two colors: Approximately 62 yds. of the main color and 20 yds. for a contrasting color using Malabrigo Rasta.
