Final update. 24/2/14
This pattern is now available in a 5 page format with the coloured charts covering just two pages. Photos and extra notes have also been added to the knitting instructions.

Each stitch covers around 30,000 sq miles (if my maths is correct) so some detail is inevitably lost, including my own home (Guernsey, CI. 25sq miles)!
The basic instructions are simple so should be clear enough. The actual knitting and shaping is easy but the colourwork can be challenging and tangly. I strand the unused yarn loosely across the back, picking up the loose yarn with the working yarn, every 3 stitches or so, to avoid long loops at the back (See photo). I would suggest using shortish lengths only (2m) of the land colours and untangling them after each row. The yarn ends will all disappear from sight inside the globe and can be darned in or even knotted.
