This hat is named for Themisto, one of the many moons of Jupiter. In Greek mythology, Themisto was daughter of a river god and one of Zeus’ many lovers. Solid cables twine along a striped background of reverse stockinette, creating an interesting hat and an engaging project.

This hat is worked from the bottom up in the round with two colors. The simple colorwork only requires one color per row, no stranding! Stripes and slipped stitches are all it takes. Both written and charted instructions are included.
