This shawlette is designed for fingering / sock weight yarn to produce a light garment to wrap around your neck and tuck into your jacket to keep out the Autumnal chill. It starts with a section of stockingette stitch, continuing with two panels of chevrons (one going there, one going back again!) and a stocking panel between. Finished with a garter border to prevent curling, this is a perfect pattern for a beginner knitter looking to get into some basic lace work.

Using only one skein of yarn, this is perfect for that beautiful skein of sock yarn you just can’t bear to walk on!
