My inaugural sock pattern in honour of the E52s – the best bunch of ladies…EVER! – celebrating our first round of Sock KALs entitled “These are the Days of our … Socks”.

Construction: Top Down – Magic Loop (or dpns) – I prefer magic loop, so the instructions will be based on that method. Choose your favourite method, but you will need to make the adaptations – sorry, I’m lazy, what can I say.

Gauge: 8 stitches per inch

Needle Size: 2.5 mm or 2.75mm (or 2.25mm if you have chicken legs like me)

Cable needle required

Materials: At least a 4ply yarn – in a solid, semi-solid or tonal colourway
