Vintage buffalo plaid is back in style! This pattern is unique in that it uses super bulky yarn, making the hat not only thick and warm, but so quick that it can be crocheted in less than two hours. Matching fingerless gloves pattern is included as an added bonus in a separate PDF file.

Materials used in the pattern are Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick yarn; however, any super bulky #6 weight yarn can be used. Three coordinating colors are used, using less than one skein of each color, US size N (10mm) crochet hook, yarn needle and scissors. Optional faux fur or yarn pom pom can be attached.

Three sizes are included in this pattern, each size on a different page for easy printing, for mommy and me sets. The teen/adult size fits 20-22” head circumference, the toddler/child size 16-18” head circumference, and the newborn/baby size 12-14” head circumference. Each size also includes instructions for the messy bun style with the hole in the top.

The skill level is advanced beginner/intermediate and the detailed instructions include photos for clarification during various stages in the pattern. I am also available by email for any questions you may have, as I want you to be happy with your purchase.

The brim is worked in vertical rows and joined together, and then the body of the hat is worked in horizontal rows from the bottom to the top, carrying over yarn colors without cutting.

All of my patterns have been professionally tested and tech edited to ensure an error free pattern with easy to understand instructions.

This super thick and quick buffalo plaid hat and fingerless gloves set is a huge seller at my craft fairs.

This listing is for a written crocheted PDF instant downloadable pattern, not a finished product. There are no refunds once the PDF file is purchased.
