Three Almond Scarves

This pattern is available for £4.00 GBP buy it now

Very warm, ribbed scarf in three variations: one easy and playful with wavy edges, another no-nonsense and manly with straight edges and straight ribbed borders, and the last one complicated and stunning with slanting almond shapes.

Each version can be done in any yarn (from cobweb to bulky), any tension (from lacy to dense and warm), and any size (as scarf, wrap, or stole).

To make scarves exactly like the samples in the top picture, you would need

  • 200g (400m/440yards) of Cascade 220 for an Almond Scarf I (dark brown in picture) sized 126x19cm / 49½x7½”,
  • 250g (580m/635yards) Baby Cashmere Merino Silk DK by Sublime for an Almond Scarf II (unisex version, pale brown in picture) sized 122x23cm / 48x9”, or
  • 300g (606m/660yards) Ianthe by Louisa Harding for an Almond Scarf III (blueish-green in picture) sized 143x21.5cm / 56¼x8½”.

The pattern provides detailed instructions (8 pages). The first two versions of the scarf are both written and charted, the third version (with the slanting leaves) is written only.

With lots of thanks to my wonderful test knitters!
