For this riotously colorful scarf, Kathryn Alexander set out to make a relatively simple tubular scarf using her signature entrelac process. Knowing that alternating right- and left-leaning tiers in regular entrelac produces a flat fabric, Kathryn worked two successive tiers in the same direction in order to create the bold three-dimensional effect you see here. Although the knitting is simple and repetitive, Kathryn incorporated twenty-five of her hand-dyed colors and added striped I-cord fringe for a look that’s distinctly Kathryn. Mix and match colors to suit your own style.
