A hat to celebrate Pi Day (March 14).

Three Slices of Pi is a fun little hat that incorporates Pi in three different ways. From the ribbing of the brim to the stripe sequence to the wedges of the crown, pi controls the look all the way through. It’s a quick knit in four colours of fingering weight yarn, perfect for using up scraps of sock yarn. It will also look great worked in a self-striping yarn so if you have a special skein that doesn’t want to be socks, this is the pattern for it and you’ll still get two delicious slices of pi. The hat features a snug folded band for double the warmth over your ears and just a little bit of slouch.

This pattern was run as an MKAL from March 1-13, 2017 before its full release on March 14, 2017. The discussion thread can be found here.
