Three balls of yarn can create three hats, three ways! Threesome was specifically designed to show how combining the same three colors in different ways can create three completely different looks. The stranded color work in this pattern looks striking, but it is still simple enough for knitters who are relatively new to colorwork. Threesome adds some gorgeous, but easy to knit, stranded colorwork to the basic knit beanie and allows you to create a fashionable look for the whole family!

Depending on the yardage of your yarn, you can definitely work 3 hats with only 3 balls of yarn!

Samples shown used Zitron Ecco ( 120yds/50g; 100% superwash extrafine merino wool). Three balls of it was enough to make the 3 hats shown in the sample, which were worked in the following sizes: hats in Toddler, M/L and L/XL.
