Construction Notes
“Through Light Scarf” wants to capture the image of a net curtain as slightly moved by the breeze takes many different shades through the use of a 3d multi-layered pattern that lets the light filter through and two contrasting colors.
To achieve this effect, the small linen scarf is knitted using a surprising net stitch.
It is worked back and forth on circular needles changing color every row without cutting the yarn thanks to an easy technique.
As a result you get a marled look but with a different main color on each side and perfectly reversible.
The slip-stitch selvedges recall the rolled hem of the classical silk foulards.

Finished measurements
“Through Light Scarf” has been thought in two different sizes:

  • a 50x50 cm/20”x20” squared one;
  • a 20x160 cm/8”x63” rectangular one.

The squared scarf folded diagonally can be worm as a bandana around your neck or tied to the handles of your bag or to your wrist to always be at hand with a touch of elegance, the rectangular one is an enjoyable scarf which will be as a faithful friend all spring and summer long.
