As a Mentat to House Atreides, Thufir Hawat was known throughout the empire for being wise and just. The Harkonnens thought they had turned him, but in the end he remained loyal to Paul Atreides, which is why I worked the sock in “Atreides green”. The pattern is meant to look like computer data processing since Mentats were used as “thinking machines” after the banning of computers. This sock is written as a hiking sock with a longer cuff. The pattern can be flipped inside out and worn with either pattern showing. The heel is a variation of the strong heel, the ribbing can be continued on the foot to accommodate both a narrow or a wide foot.
