This pattern came about as I was looking through some stitch pattern books. I wanted something fun and playful. I wanted a colorwork hat that was going to be interesting enough to keep my interest, and yet large enough of a pattern to be able to see it easily. These large rectangles reminded me of Tic Tacs and were so fun. It works great in any color of yarn. The top of the hat ends up swirling to the top with the decreases to almost mimic a multicolored ice cream. I may have been hungry when writing up this pattern. Lol
