A cosy pair of house socks in an easy 2 x 2 rib with cables running down the side of the leg. Great to knit in a semi solid or speckled hand dyed sock yarn held together with a Kid Silk Lace.
They make a quick ‘get well soon’ gift.

Actual circumference of sock after blocking 17 (20.5: 24.5)cm / 6 3/4 (8: 9 1/2)in.

Yarn:
190 (220: 260)m / 208 (240: 284)yds sock / fingering weight yarn held together with 190 (220: 260)m / 208 (240: 284)yds lace weight kid silk mohair.

The sample shown is the middle size knit for a UK size 6 (US 6.5: 39) shoe size. It used nearly an entire 25g skein of Ainsworth & Prin Mohair and Silk Lace. If you don’t mind playing yarn chicken you may get away with just the one 25g skein for the middle size, otherwise to be on the safe side or if you have a longer foot buy two skeins.

The sample is knit in Opal with Pale November Mohair and Silk Lace.

Gauge: 23sts and 32 rounds worked over 2 x 2 ribbing, measured slightly stretched and after blocking.

Notions: Cable needle, stitch marker, tapestry needle for darning in ends.
