The cowl is inspired by the spiralling shape of sea shells in the constant motion of the tides, creating a flowing, repetitive knit experience.
This pattern was exclusively designed for Wooligalooli’s handspun 100% Merino superwash yarn, and completes a set of mittens and a beanie that had already been published.
The cowl was designed to fit over the head easily, and yet to sit comfortably and not too loosely around the neck.
The pattern features twisted stitches that add interest to the knitting, and at the same time result in a thicker construction that adds extra warmth.
Whilst the pattern is written for one size, it can be changed by adding or removing stitches.
This cowl pattern can also be purchased as part of a set including mittens and a beanie, which is also called Tidal Spiral. Please have a look at my other patterns to find it.
Many thanks!
