The gentle curves throughout this pattern remind me of waves cresting and crashing on shore. They are knit from the cuff down, and have a traditional slip stitch heel flap, with a little change that makes picking up the stitches on the sides particularly easy. This lace pattern has a few cable details, and is written using charts. Size small fits a leg circumference of 6.5” - 8”, and large fits a leg circumference of 8” - 10”. Gauge is 36 sts and 40 rows in 4”.

Note: I prefer my socks to have a little tighter fit than many. I work with about 15% negative ease. If you like your socks at 10% ease, please keep that in mind when choosing which size to work, or what size needles to use.

Likewise, I am a fairly loose cable knitter. If you know you knit cables pretty tight, you may also want to knit the large size.

This pattern has been test knit for errors and clarity.
