Tide Line Sweater

Tide Line Sweater is a relaxed, striped raglan sweater with a distinctive folded collar and button details. Its simple silhouette and subtle stripes create a timeless, effortless look.

The sweater is designed with 3/4-length sleeves, but the sleeve length can easily be adjusted to your preference, including full-length sleeves.

SIZES AND FIT

XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL)

Tide Line Sweater is designed to be worn with approximately 20–25 cm / 8–10 in of positive ease.

Choose your size based on your actual bust circumference and your preferred amount of ease, rather than your usual clothing size.

Finished bust circumference:

102 (107) 116 (124) 131 (138) cm

40.2 (42.1) 45.7 (48.8) 51.6 (54.3) in

For example, if your bust circumference is 85 cm / 33.5 in, size S will give you approximately 22 cm / 8.7 in of positive ease.

CONSTRUCTION

The sweater is knitted seamlessly from the top down.

You begin with the twisted-rib collar, which is shaped with decreases and later folded outward. German short rows are worked to shape the neckline, followed by raglan increases to create the yoke.

The body and sleeves are then separated and worked in the round, following the established stripe sequence. The sleeves are shaped with decreases, and their length can be adjusted according to your preference.

The hem and cuffs are finished with 1 × 1 ribbing and a tubular bind-off.

YARN

The orange-striped sample is knitted with Katia Concept Cotton-Merino as the main color and Isager Soft for the stripes.

The blue-striped sample is knitted with CaMaRose Snefnug.

I recommend the suggested yarns or similar yarns that respond well to blocking and hold their shape.

GAUGE

Stockinette stitch: 18 sts × 28 rounds = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4 in, after blocking.

Twisted rib at the collar’s cast-on edge: 20–21 sts / 10 cm / 4 in, measured relaxed and unstretched after blocking.

The twisted-rib gauge is particularly important, as it affects the size and shape of the folded collar. Please pay special attention to this if substituting yarn.

The pattern includes instructions for six sizes, with options for adjusting the sleeve length.
