The Tidewater is an airy coastal inspired wrap or scarf meant to accent your breeziest summer days. Customize the length and width to match your own unique style, or try a long narrow option for a sassy scarf addition to any summer look; or the wider wrap version, and add elegance to your shoulders for a more formal occasion. Dress up a short wide wrap with a few buttons secured by I-cord loops to turn your wrap into a shoulder snuggling ponchette. Regardless of your choice, Tidewater is sure to bring your love of knitting into the warmer months.
Tidewater is worked over the length of the piece, casting on a large number of stitches and then worked sections of 18 stitch repeats to create long waves.
This pattern is for the adventurous novice knitter who wants to work increases paired with decreases and use stitch markers to establish clear delineation in repeated sections. This pattern is charted and written out for ease of your particular knitting style.
