The Tiffany Cardigan is a combination of wonderful ideas from a team of people! The idea of the cardigan came to me when I was watching a period drama and loved the beautiful collars. When talking to some friends, they came up with the idea of calling it the Tiffany Cardigan based on old Tiffany lamps, which I loved as it suited the vintage but modern vibe of this little cardy!

The Tiffany Cardigan has a set-in sleeve worked from the bottom up. It is cast on at the bottom and a rib hem is worked before the texture pattern is introduced and is worked up the body to the underarm. The front and back are separated at the underarm and worked separately up to the shoulders with shaping for the armhole and neckline and German Short rows for the shoulders. The front and back shoulders are joined with a three-needle bind-off. The sleeves are knit flat from the cuff up with increases and shaping for a sleeve cap, before sewing them in place. Button bands are added and then finally the collar is knit sideways separately and then sewn in place around the neck edge. Alternatively, a simple rib neckband can be worked. The cardigan requires blocking paying attention to the collar and finally seven buttons are sewn on.

Finished Sizes
The Tiffany Cardigan has is intended to be worn with 2 - 4” / 5 - 10 cm of positive ease. Choose a size to knit that is between 2 - 4” / 5 – 10 cm larger than your actual bust size. The Texture pattern creates a less flexible fabric, so this needs to be considered when choosing a size to knit.
