Material Requirements
The Yorkshire terrier that has been crocheted for this pattern, uses a mix of different brands of double knit yarn. Any brand of double-knit will work for this pattern.
Stylecraft special dk Black, approx 60g
Paintbox soft fudge approx 100g
Stylecraft special dk Beige approx 20g
Stylecraft special dk Red approx 10g
Small amount of white to outline the eyes.
Polyester toy stuffing
Eyes 24mm (plastic safety eyes or glass looped eyes).
Fake eye lashes (optional)
Wire brush for brushing out the hair.
You can use any weight yarn for this pattern it will just give a different finished size.
Crochet Hook

Size
Using this weight yarn and size hook will give you a dog roughly measuring
40cm/16 inches measured from the Tail tip to nose.
13cm/ 6 inches from side to side .
30cm/ 12 inches from feet to the top of the Hair

If you are planning to make your dog in a heavier weight yarn, adjust your hook size accordingly. Use the smallest hook size possible for the weight of yarn that you are using. You need the stitches to be tight so the stuffing doesn’t show too much between stitches. I recommend making a test motif to gauge tension.
