Tigsy Bear
I created this bear for my little sisters 11th birthday (her name is Tegan, or “Tigsy” as we call her!) and I decided to share it, just in case anyone wanted to make it. It is totally free and always will be, but feel free to let me know what you think of it, as it is my first ever pattern!
There may be better ways to do certain parts of the Tigsy bear, but this is the way I’ve done it as it’s a “stick to what you know” kind of project for me! :)
You may share this pattern with buddies, family members, strangers on the internet, that lady you met at a party and hit it off with because you spoke about crochet all night long, your local friendly Spider-Man - anyone! I don’t mind! Just link back to me and I’d be happy :)
Materials:
Worsted-weight (DK) yarn in the colour of your choice (I chose blue for the main colour)
Small amount of worsted-weight (DK) yarn in a contrasting colour for the inner ears, nose and scarf (I chose purple for this)
Crochet hook size E (3.5mm)
Polyester Fiberfill
Yarn Needle
Buttons for eyes and scarf (optional! I chose this way as I am useless at making amigurumi eyes!)
A little felt in the contrasting colour if you want patches!
A little cotton and a smaller needle to attach buttons
Abbreviations/stitches used:
Ch = Chain
Mr = Magic Ring / Magic Circle
Sc = Single Crochet (double crochet if using English terms!)
Inc = Increase
Dec = Invisible Decrease
