Tilda Doll Jane
Jane always loves to look her best when she’s out and about. Today she’s feeling extra stylish in her winter coat and matching hat, ready to catch a train into town and meet her friends for a cheerful lunch.
Tilda Doll Jane is knitted flat, worked from the head down, with stitches divided to form the legs. Her arms are knitted separately and sewn on, adding that classic handmade touch.
Jane’s hat is removable, while her coat is sewn in place for a neat finish. Both are decorated with a simple moss stitch hem and edging, bringing a lovely bit of texture to her outfit. A step-by-step photo tutorial is included to help you give Jane her signature Tilda-style hair.
This pattern is perfect for confident beginners—both the doll and her clothes are knitted flat with basic shaping, and there’s a clear explanation of the SSK stitch if you’re new to it.
Tilda Jane makes a beautiful decorative piece or a sweet toy for children. If you’re making Jane as a gift for a little one, please use French knots instead of buttons on the coat for added safety.
