Tile Star Shawl Blue
Already, while I was sitting and knitting this beautiful shawl, I knew that I had designed a new favorite. I simply think it is an incredibly beautiful shawl, harmonious in pattern - and color mix, and it also has a lovely story, as the inspiration comes from the beautiful tiled walls of the Fanø houses, so everything that is MY Fanø story is knitted into this shawl. But it also exudes island life, beach, high skies, and RELAXATION.
Measurements (approx): 240 cm in width, and 105 cm in height, all depending on the tension of the knitter!
A little about the construction, yarns and needles
The shawl is knitted in the round with steel stitches, except for the tip, which is knitted back and forth. The borders are also knitted in the round, and everything is cut up in two rounds. This saves you from having to knit patterns on the long purl rows and from having to read the pattern backwards. The yarn is super soft lamb wool from Scotland in the very best quality. It is unwashed, and therefore the finished model should be washed to achieve maximum softness. You will need the following circular needles 3.5 mm: 40 cm, 60 cm, and 120 cm.
