Welcome to the Till Death MKAL, this year’s Day of the Dead inspired Mystery MITTEN Knit-a-Long. I am so excited to celebrate this time of year with you again. Till Death was designed with all of the love, fun, and color of the Day of the Dead. Let me tell you what wicked fun you are in for this year!

When you purchase the pattern now, you will receive a full “GETTING READY GUIDE” that will help you choose yarn, prepare your needles, and make mitten-y plans. Curious to see what last year’s mystery mitten looked like, check out : Party Bones.

Beautiful, bright kits for the Till Death MKAL are available at Sun Valley Fibers.

Clues will be released weekly, as follows:
Clue One: October 1
Clue Two: October 8
Clue Three: October 15
Clue Four: October 22

The MMKAL will run until November 10 on the TellybeanKnits group page. I will be giving away some fun prizes. Come check it out!

  • This is a full stranded COLORWORK MITTEN.
  • This is an INTERMEDIATE mitten pattern. This is not a beginner colorwork pattern. If you are familiar with colorwork, or just feeling adventurous, it is also not especially difficult.
  • You will work with 2 strands of yarn throughout this pattern. You will never use more than 2 strands at a time.
  • These mittens are knit in the round from the bottom up. A thumb gusset is created using m1L and m1R increases. The thumb sts are held on scrap yarn while the palm sts are worked. The thumb sts are then placed back on needles and worked in the round.
  • This pattern will be charted.
  • The shape of this mitten will be in the Latvian style. Need an example? Check out last year’s Day of the Dead MKAL mitten: Party Bones.
  • There will be 4 clues, released over 4 weeks.
  • There will be an MMKAL on my Ravelry group page, TellybeanKnits. * There will be PRIZES!
  • The final clue will be released on October 22nd. This will give you time to finish your mittens and celebrate the Day of the Dead in style.
