This design was produced in partnership with North Light Fibers as part of their Beacon program. Beacon is a royalty-based plan to provide high quality patterns to knitters while paying fair compensation to independent designers. I am thrilled to be a part of this partnership, and I know you will love working with their amazing yarn, all made in the USA, as much as I did.

Inspired by the coast of Block Island - the sea, the shore, and the sky - Tilson is a three-color shawl worked in a meandering lace pattern with reversible texture. Reminiscent of the horizon line, the dynamic stripes create interesting transitions from color to color within the textured lace pattern.

Tilson is knit side-to-side in one piece with yarn over
edgings. The shawl starts with just a few cast on stitches
and grows into a modern elongated triangle with
increases worked along one side. The eyelet edging can
be used for finishing since the blocking wires can easily
be threaded through the yarn overs.
