Tilted Ripple Shawl & Shawlette
This pattern has instructions for both a shawlette and shawl version.
I feel like I have finally worked out a use for ripple stitches. Sure, they are fun to work. But practically? What is their use? You can’t work them into a blanket because the edges are funny. Same with scarves (believe me, I’ve tried). Shawls, though? The ripples cause a perfect drape over the shoulders and good coverage down the back. The self-striping yarn of the Caron Cakes lends itself to the brilliant colorwork without having to weave in all the ends.
