My husband’s words still haunt me, “We need to take down these pines before they fall on the house.” So when I was designing these socks that were unnamed at the time, a huge pine tree fell on the corner of our house. No one was hurt and there was minimal damage but I KNEW these needed to be named Tilting Pines! This is an easy to read and memorize pattern with purls leaning on a diagonal. An Afterthought heel and Kitchener stich is used for this easy, quick, top down construction. When your husband warns you of a possible disaster, … listen to him!
