I’m so excited to share this new free pattern with you, not only because this cowl and armwarmer set is really quick and fun to make, but also because it features my very own ‘New Leaf’ colourway from the Scheepjes Our Tribe yarns. I’m so proud and naturally wanted to design something pretty with my colourway. I hope you like it!

The Timber cowl and armwarmer set is designed to be made from just one ball of Scheepjes Our Tribe yarns. I was quite surprised myself that I could crochet so much out of just one 100 gram ball! But as I weighed the balls of Scheepjes Our Tribe I had in my stash, turns out they’re actually more like 120 grams per ball, how amazing and generous is that?! So just keep in mind, if you’re making this pattern with any other yarn, you might need to get 2 balls. And just in case you’re worried to run out of yarn, start with the armwarmers first as it’s kind of important to make those of the same lenght, and make the cowl afterwards. I’ve made the cowl to be quite long and it would totally still work if you make it a little bit shorter, or just until you run out of yarn! How satisfying is that, to use up the entire ball of yarn?
