Worked entirely in garter stitch, this striking shawl combines bold geometric colour blocking with an unusual modular construction. The centre square is knitted first, before stitches are picked up from the selvedge loops on either side to create the sweeping left and right wings. Stitches are then picked up along the lower edge to work the contrasting border with a picot edge bind off, while a neat applied i-cord, worked from stitches picked up across the top, provides the perfect finishing touch.
