These simple socks are an easy introduction for new sock knitters, or a basic vanilla sock for those that know what they are doing.

The socks are worked from the toe up using circular needles and magic loop, and have a mitered short row heel.

There may be some new techniques that you will need to look up, but they will be a great addition to your knitting toolkit!

Techniques Used

  • Judy’s Magic Cast On
  • Magic Loop
  • German Short Row Heel

I used this stretchy sewn bind off, but a decrease bind off or Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off work fine too.

It is easy to customise the length of your socks, just knit the leg or foot longer or shorter!

I hope you enjoy knitting your socks, and I welcome any constructive feedback.
